When we first wrote this section there are only two Ninja products available, the Ninja Master Prep and the Pro blender. Well times have changed and Ninja now has no less than eight variations on this winning product theme. So we’re going to dive in each one separately here and try to give you a good idea what each one brings to the table. We will start off with the original Ninja machine, the Master prep.
The Master Prep Blender
This is a compact blender that comes with three pitcher sizes included, a 16 ounce, 40 ounce and 48 ounce. The true beauty of this blender comes from the fact that the blending is accomplished by an interchangeable head. The blades insert into the pitcher, you put the lid on and then the head seats on top of the blade spindle. When the blending and chopping are completed you simply reverse the process and the pitcher can then be used for storing any leftovers.
The Master Prep is excellent for making smoothies, frozen margaritas and just about anything else that needs blending. The Ninja Master Prep blends items smoothly and uniformly and eliminates the mush you may experience with other blenders. One word of warning though, some customers have reported that the blades on this blender are some of the sharpest they have ever encountered, so it would be advised to keep small fingers away from them.
A second version of the above model is the Ninja Master Prep gray. The machine has a slightly different form and comes with only one pitcher, a 16 ounce food processor bowl and a lower price tag.

This next is a major powerhouse providing over 1000 W of blending power. This power is combined with a 6-blade technology that makes it capable of blending just about anything, and I do mean anything short of rocks of course. The blender also has a very generous 72 ounce pitcher that features a lock in lid and a flip up pour spout. The control panel offers pulse blending as well as three constant speeds that will allow you to plow through your most arduous blending tasks.
This model also has a variation, the Professional Style Blender with Single Serve. This version adds a couple of single serve glasses that have their own blending cap that you can attach. The drink blends right side its own container and when you’re done you simply remove it from the blending base, remove the blending cap, put on the travel mug cap and you’re ready to go.

Third up is the Mega Kitchen System. This little gem comes with 1500 W of power, three blending jars and to single serve blending containers. So if you are looking to do frozen blending, food processing, whole fruit juicing and to making then this may be the machine for you. The blending jars are also BPA free and dishwasher safe.

The Ninja Kitchen System is next up and this one is actually two machines, the 1100 and the 1200 models. The 1100 comes with the Xtra Large 72 oz. pitcher and a 40 oz. dough bowl with 4 blade attachment. The 1200 is the same as the 1100 it’s just missing the dough paddle, but possesses the smart speed technology.

Last but not least is the Kitchen System Pulse. The pulse system is geared around those of you who are into smoothies and making your own fresh bread dough. The machine comes with a 40 ounce blending jar, three single serve blending glasses and a dough paddle. This machine has slightly less power coming in at 700 W, but a lower price tag as well.

The best plan here would be choose the one that matches what you’re trying to accomplish and then check out the individual reviews. A word of warning though none of these blenders appear to be able to blend hot liquids without problems.
If on the other hand you are looking for that perfect frozen margarita then you’ll need to move up to either a or a . The reason being is that the Vitamix machine produces blade speeds of up to 240 miles an hour, thereby handling any ice chunks no matter how small they may be and the Margaritaville machine actually shaves the ice, never creating ice chunks in the first place.
