If you love to cook and are interested in building more knowledge, skill and confidence in the kitchen, being an assistant in our program could be a great opportunity for you. As an assistant you will participate as a support role in a class while earning credits to apply to future classes of your choice. Assisting is a fun and exciting opportunity to get involved at no cost to you.
We will typically need 3 assistants per class.
Each assistant will arrive 45 minutes to an hour prior to class and help the chef with preparation and set up. You will also greet students as they arrive and help them feel welcomed and settle in. During class you will assist students with food preparation, plating, grabbing items as necessary and pouring wine or water as needed. When class is over you will help with breakdown, straightening up, putting items away and any remaining clean up.
Our Assistant Program allows you to assist in 3 classes in exchange for any available class of your choice – up to a $65.00 value.
Prior experience isn’t necessary, but a love of cooking, the ability to have fun while staying focused along with some practical kitchen knowledge is helpful. We do count on our Assistants to show up and be on time – being reliable is a must so our classes run smoothly.
