Plank Grilled Venison Loin

Stock up on grilling planks, you will never want to have venison on the grill without them after having it this way.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb.
  • 2 tbs. Sportsman's Table Item #3627
  • 1 pre-soaked

Instructions

  1. Rub seasoning generously on venison loin and coat with olive oil. Cover and let sit for 30 min. to 1 hour. Soak cedar plank in water for a minimum of 4 hours. Pull plank from water and place on hot grill, cooking side (one side will be sanded slightly, this is the "food side", the cooking side is rougher) down for 1-2 min. Turn over plank, brush it lightly with olive oil and place meat on plank. Cover grill and cook for 8-10 min. Turn, cover and cook another 8-10 min. Cooking time may vary depending on heat level and size of your loin. Serve.
