Question- how many pies does your family usually have for Thanksgiving? One, maybe two, for a normal family? My mother-in-law is making FOUR pies for five people this Thanksgiving. I love pie, but I think we’re going to have a few leftovers. Leftover pie is great, but you might get tired of it. Obviously you don’t want to waste pie and throw it away. That would be ridiculous. We have a solution- Leftover Pie Milkshakes!

We’ve partnered with  to come up with our version of a way to re-use your leftover pie in a way that is different than just slapping a slice on your plate. It’s super easy to turn your leftover pie into a fun milkshake. All you need is a slice of pie, a beverage and some ice cream!

You have to decide what type of pie is your favorite and works for you best. Maybe you want to do a pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream and cinnamon spice tea. Or what about berry pie with sherbet and pomegranate juice? We chose Marie Callender’s Dutch Apple Pie and mixed it with apple cider and salted caramel ice cream.

It’s simple to mix these ingredients together, top with Reddi-wip®, and make a delicious milkshake to sip by the fire. It takes no time at all and is a great alternative to eating yet another slice of pie by itself.

But honestly, even better than making yourself a leftover pie milkshake is giving one to a friend. It’s the holidays, and the holidays are all about giving and thinking about other people more than yourself. So, we designed a simple way for you to share your love of pie with others! We made a great template that you can download and print out and put a piece of pie in to share with someone.

Just download the templates, print them out, cut out along the outer edges and fold into the triangular pie box. There is a template for top and bottom of the pie box and you can print them out, put them together, and deliver happy pie memories to someone close to you.

This holiday season, remember that there are lots of ways to get creative with your leftovers, so “pie it forward” and let us know how it goes!
