Happy Monday! Hope everybody had a great weekend! This is the first Monday in months that I have woke up feeling refreshed and energized. Seriously, I don’t know why or how, but I’LL TAKE IT! It was really great this weekend for Luke and I to have free time to just spend together without having to be somewhere or do something, and he had a really hectic week at work so it was well deserved! Before I mentally prepare for the week ahead of me, let’s reflect on the days behind, shall we?
Part of not doing anything involves a trip to the ever-lively Glasgow City Centre and lunch at the .
It’s seriously like a burger-off on the corner of St. Vincent, by the way, just across from Handmade is and . Obviously, I will have to eat at the other two, you know, to formulate my best opinion, of course. I can say this, I visited the day before I moved to Glasgow, and Handmade Burger Co’s burgers completely blow Wahlburgers out of the water! As a sides “aside”, the Wahlburgers sweet potato tots are amazing and it’s totally worth a visit if you want to drive 45 minutes outside of Boston!
Back to Handmade Burger Co. — all of their burgers are 100% grass fed, Scotch beef and they assure upon seating that all of their ingredients are made fresh!
I, of course, wanted to partake in a cider (ZOMG, delish), so I opted for a “small burger” which was pretty much a regular-sized burger, to be honest, but SO delicious.
Luke had the New York Deli burger which was ridiculously good (of course I stole me some!) and a peanut butter shake (because he’s adorable).
We shared the rosemary chips, and couldn’t finish them between the two of us. #SoMuchFood!
We also took a peek in the American Candy & Soda shop, mostly so I could gasp at the RIDICULOUS prices they have on American junk food. They did not disappoint, seriously, $8.00 USD for a box of Lucky Charms and look at this below, £2.00 ($2.97 USD) for a package of ! Ouch! If these things were as expensive in America we’d definitely have less of a sugar addiction issue! Also, cost an arm and a leg here; £85.00 for a pair of 527’s!!!!! Who’s going to mail me some? Seriously! It’s expensive to live like an American abroad, ya’ll!
Also noteworthy Actually, a completely useless fact, I finally finished watching all of the series on Netflix.
Holy s**t Fargo is a great show! If you haven’t watched it yet, you’re seriously missing out! Luke and I are looking forward to the next on Tuesday!
So, now for more productive (or healthy, I should say) things, like my first long distance run in a while!
Have a great day!!!
