Eating healthy does not mean that you have to stay in the house. However, it does require you to prepare when you are on the go.  These few tips will help you maintain your healthy eating habits while you are out and about.  Start off by purchasing yourself a portable lunch sack that fits in to your lifestyle.  When possible go-green, use eco-friendly containers and recycle your storage bags when at all possible. Now it’s time for the preparation, follow these few tips below to accomplish your goals while you are on the go:

  • Eat a healthy breakfast, one that will not slow you down. Try a whole pita filled with hard-boiled egg whites.
  • Pack a satisfying lunch. A combination of white beans and brown rice tossed with spinach or kale and topped with a light dressing is always an on the go lunch pleaser.
  • Plan ahead. Purchase vegetables in bulk and prep them in advance in your eco-friendly containers. This way you can just grab and go.
  • At some point you may have to grab some fast food. Stay away from fried and processed items on the menu.
  • Keep track of your calories.
