This past weekend most definitely went bay waaay too fast. With the time change and just trying to rest and recover from a busy week last week and get ready for another busy week ahead I feel like I need an extra day to relax. One of the highlights of my weekend was having an amazing group of ladies out for class Saturday morning. Personal trainers and fitness instructors can likely relate, there’s just something special about having a great vibe with a diverse group of clients.
What wasn’t a highlight of our weekend?
Ugh, I was SO bored! Seriously, I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen such a monotone, boring movie. I love a good drama and I did enjoy seeing the character development but come on, give me something to get excited/nervous/emotional for. The thing is, I really love all these actors but man, Steve and I felt like we totally and completely wasted our movie night.
While the movie may have left something to be desired we definitely enjoyed some good food this weekend.
Sunday was spent writing, programming and getting some food prepped for the week before we headed to dinner at my future in-laws. I’m starting a new program at the gym so I’ll be here a little later most evenings (around 8:30 instead of 7:30pm) which means I’ll have less time to get dinner on the table. Here’s what I made yesterday to make things a little easier.
Now Steve and I have breakfast, snacks and lunch for work for the next little bit. Here’s the tentative meal plan for the week:
Monday – Baked beef burritos (using the extra ground beef from the chili)
Tuesday – Chicken thighs with roasted potatoes and green beans
Wednesday – PaleOMG’s
Thursday – Bacon wrapped chicken stuffed with….something
I don’t usually plan out Friday until it gets a little closer and I know what we’re up to. I usually opt for something quick and easy like mini meatballs or chicken caesar salad so I don’t have to spend too much time in the kitchen.
I’ll be posting the recipe for those protein bites above later this week and after hearing from some of you that you’d enjoy seeing what my whole workout looks like I took the time to video today’s squat/deadlift session and will have that posted in the next couple days too.
Hope you’re having an awesome Monday!
Question? Seen any good movies lately? I’m looking for a good comedy and a thriller.
