Libbey Playground is getting a major upgrade! The existing playground will be removed and replaced with a beautiful new custom designed structure! After many months of hard work by City staff, community volunteers and the Play by Design consultants, the Libbey Park Playground Steering Committee is proud to announce our final new playground design!
This project would not be possible without the support of our amazing community and the many service organizations in the valley! We will need volunteers, skilled and unskilled, to help in all areas for the week of the build; skilled construction, general labor, food prep, child care, first aid, set up, clean up, registration etc.
The build will take only six days to complete and is set to begin on October 6! There will be three shifts per day, 8:00am-12:00pm, 12:30pm-5:00pm, and 5:30pm-8:30pm. Meal will be provided for volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering please click the link below to register.
The highlight of the week will be the volunteer appreciation dinner on Sunday evening at 6:00pm. We will all come together to celebrate and enjoy our beautiful new playground!
