As Forest School Leaders, Children\'s workers, Scouts, Guides, voluntary helpers and food handlers, you have the responsibility to keep children, young people and adults safe. This course combines the theory of food safety with the practical skills of cooking lunch in the outdoors and developing good practice guidelines in a fun, interactive manner. Illnesses linked to food and the outdoors Hygiene control-Temperature control, storage, handling Preparation, cooking, equipment... Personal hygieneFood Safety Control-planning a HACCP relevant to your practice A multiple-choice test will given to each delegate at the end of the course. After successful completion, candidates will receive a certificate from the CIEH and a 'Blake Training' certificate, personalising the additional outdoor food safety topics covered.
