Title: Assistant Site Director  Wage: Based on Qualifications  Location: South Madison Hours: M-F 8-5pm Hours will vary based on need (40 hours per week/Full-year) Description/Qualifications: The Assistant Site Director will provide a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment for children that encourages their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

  • Must possess an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education; Bachelor’s degree preferred, in Early Childhood Education: Exceptional Educational Needs or Child Development; related Bachelor’s degrees include the minimum qualifications:
  • Early Childhood Exceptional Education Needs (ECEEN) that includes 18 credits in ECE, or a composite of 18 ECE credits from the degree and pre/post study
  • Child and Family Studies with 18 credits specifically related to Child Studies
  • Elementary Education that includes 18 credit hours in ECE, or a composite of 18 ECE credits and pre/post study; Registry level 12 or above
  • Must have at least 1 year experience in an early care education setting; experience in a licensed program.
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin Day Care Licensing requirements, teaching competencies, parent-child relations, Wisconsin Works (W2) Programs, and community resources.

Title: Enrollment Specialist I – Bilingual Spanish  Wage: $13.55 per hour Location: Red Arrow Hours: M-F 8-5pm Hours will vary based on need (40 hours per week/Full-year) Description/Qualifications: The Enrollment Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the agency complies with all regulations per applicable performance standards.

  • Maintain full enrollment based on performance standards and regulations, working with sites to fill openings in an accurate and timely manner
  • Act as a resource to parents on the various programs offered by Dane County Parent Council including Head Start, Early Head Start, Child Care and Satellite Family Child Care
  • Assist with the recruitment, selection and registration process, insuring timely application processing, form review and follow up, including referrals from community agency
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a Human Services Related field or 3-5 years of equivalent on-the-job training and experience

Social Work/Family Services Positions:

Title: Family Outreach Worker – Bilingual Spanish   Wage: $13.32 per hour Location: Red Arrow Hours: M-F Hours may vary with program need Occasional Evenings/Weekends Required (40 hours/week/Part-year) Description/Qualifications: The Family Outreach Worker will assume a lead role in implementing the social service work plan.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with assigned families that demonstrate respect and understanding
  • Contact each family on a monthly basis to follow-up on progress on goals, offer services, and provide connection to the program
  • Work with families to develop Family Partnership Agreements that identify strengths, goals, and needed resources
  • Provide resources and referrals to families related to housing, employment, and financial literacy services
  • Work with families to strengthen and enhance parent-child relationships through workshops, Family Fun Night Events, and home visits
  • Assist with improving parents’ involvement with their child’s education and assist parents with employment goals

  • This position is required to close the Infant Program daily
  • Ability to appropriately interact with infants and toddlers 6 to 8 hours a day
  • Possess the ability to lift young children 0-3 years in / out of cribs / cots, and if needed into car seats or carry injured children to safety
  • Possess the ability to use child-sized chairs and tables and to interact with children at their eye level

Support Staff Positions

Title: Special Needs Aide Float  Wage: $10.90 per hour Location:  Varies Hours: M-F 8-4 pm (40 hours per week/Full-year) Description/Qualifications:

  • Work with assigned child(ren) having diagnosed/suspected special needs and/or challenging or unsafe behaviors in large group as well as individually
  • Assist the Teacher in completing the developmental assessments for assigned child(ren) as requested
  • Assist in preparing educational materials required to implement daily lesson plans
  • Attend and participate in all job relate meetings and trainings as assigned, as well as individual mentoring sessions; including completion of 25 hours of job related training annually
  • Assist Teacher and Teacher Aide in providing positive guidance and discipline
  • Ride the bus with assigned child(ren) as needed
