CLEVELAND-- Four students at a charter school in Cleveland were taken to the hospital on Monday.
The group of students at Lake Erie Preparatory School ate food that a classmate gave them, I Can Schools said. They were transported to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and were released.
"We will be diligent in investigating the matter fully. Our goal is assure that all students learn within an environment that is assured of being safe and secure at all times," the charter school said.
The student who brought in the food was removed the building.
Lake Erie Prep, located on St. Clair Avenue, is an I CAN School for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
