The plus side to this is that it gives you a glimpse into KitchenAid's customer service record, which is excellent. KitchenAid sent replacement bowls, free of charge, to those whose bowls had broken. But that does not excuse the bowls for being cheap and prone to breakage. You can not get anything out once it goes in, and this can become a food safety issue. This may be happening with other brands, but KitchenAid brings attention to the issue with its see-through handle.
