Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl

We have a love/hate relationship with take out food. It’s often unhealthy and expensive – but oh so good. This easy recipe rivals that take out food, and knocks it out of the park. It is a delicious and filling meal – perfect for a busy weeknight. The Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl is a go-to meal, over take out, on any night. Some nights can get really hectic, and it’s easy to make extra of this meal, for lunch or dinner the next day! In addition to that, the recipe makes it convenient to stagger the preparation of the chicken, rice and broccoli so that it all finishes at the same time!

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Teriyaki Marinated Chicken Breast
  • 1 Box of Instant Rice (This stuff is the bee’s knees )
  • 1 Small Stalk of Broccoli
  • Teriyaki Sauce

Directions

Chicken

    Preheat oven to 425*F Put the chicken breast on a pan in the oven for 20 minutes

Broccoli

    Cut broccoli into bite sized pieces Get out your handy dandy veggie steamer Put veggie steamer in a pot and fill with water up to the surface of the steamer, bring to boil Add broccoli and let steam for 7 minutes

Rice

    Bring a small pot of 1 cup of water to a boil Once boiling, turn heat off, add instant rice Put a lid on the pot, and let sit for 5 minutes
