Put some parchment paper on a baking sheet. Peel the yam and cut into strips (like french fries). Use more yams if needed for more people. I prepare 1 medium yam or 1/2 large yam per person. Put the strips into a large bowl and drizzle with some olive oil. Sprinkle with salt. Mix. (I use my hands that have disposable gloves on them for the mixing.) Place the yam fries onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading them out so they aren't on top of each other. Bake for 20 minutes. Using a spatula, flip them and move them around. Bake for another 20 to 30 minutes until as done as you like them. Serve with additional salt or a condiment of your choice. Yum!! Recipe Notes I bake these at a lower temperature because I don't like to eat blackened foods. These fries are soft, not crisp but really tasty!! Share this Recipe Powered by
