All classrooms are equipped with Interactive White Boards and there is a Computer Lab which can accommodate a full class of students with one computer per student. The students have daily access to a variety of devices including banks of laptop computers and iPads in each classroom.
The School Library is well resourced and continually updated.
The Presentation Sisters opened St. John the Baptist Parish Primary School , the first school in the hills, in 1936. Numbers increased rapidly over the years and peaked in 1960 with 861 students.
The school had accommodated students from Prep to Year 9. The Sisters faithfully serviced the education of young people in the Parish of St. John the Baptist for 57 years. At the end of 1993 the Presentation Sisters retired from the school and the first lay principal was appointed to commence in 1994. The school is an integral part of the Parish and parental participation is strongly encouraged.
The Parish works closely with parents and teachers to educate each child in faith and prepare each child for the reception of each of the Sacraments in a Parish celebration.
