Its what ‘fitness people’ are doing these days. Good news for you, the normal person is that this is not a normal thing to do. Although our fitness industry may lead you to believe it is. You see our industry or should I say my industry is in a little bit of a pickle because the majority of people qualified to help the obese populations… Don’t know much about the obese populations. However 85% of the people reading this, needing help, reading articles online don’t need 458 tupperware containers and their own broccoli patch. You need to learn what stuff in the gym is for. & How to alter your diet in the smallest way for thebiggest changes to your waistband. The fitness guru’s are flooding social media & instagram with their meal prep & cheat meals without realising they’re pushing themselves further away from the normal person. This is fucking me off to be quite frank. My biggest concern is that Instagram is full of great looking bodies and pictures of peoples eating disorders. Yep, said it – eating disorders. If you can’t go to bed without nailing a bar of chocolate you probably have an eating disorder. If you’re 24 stone you probably have an eating disorder. If you’re measuring your food on a scale to ensure you don’t exceed your caloric limit, you probably have an eating disorder. If you eat plain chicken and think its normal, you probably have an eating disorder. If you log everything you eat into an iPhone app, you probably have an eating disorder. However for some reason if you’re obese its seen as a terrible and awful thing. But there are people getting to such low body fat percentages that Mencan’t get a hard on a week out from competition. Or Calories so low a woman stops having her menstrual cycle. That’s fine right? Oh that’s just #gymlife #fitfam #gym #contestprep. People of the world posting your broccoli on social media. Please stop. Because when someone who is obese (who doesn’t want to be) peeks into the realm of the ‘fitness industry’ What the fuck do you think they’re going to think and how are they going to react when they see rows of broccoli and plain chicken? No wonder they’re not coming into gyms for help… Can we stop alienating the people that need our help the most? Be normal… we all know what broccoli looks like… so stop it, please.
