When I first started looking into doing a review of the Cuisinart food processor (11 prep plus), I realized I had been using the terms “mixer” and “food processor” interchangeably.
But the two are actually different.
A mixer will well… mix ingredients together. This creates more of a blending result such as when making cookie dough.
A food processor can blend things together, but it can do a lot more. However, in regards to blending and using cookie dough as an example, the Cuisinart 11 prep plus has an actual Dough setting.
